Electrical Engineering
Carnac's electrical engineering team has had extensive experience in the mining and mineral process industries in Western Australia, with a some of the members possessing a wealth of knowledge of industrial practices from long-standing experience in both greenfield and brownfield projects across Western Australia. They work closely with our mechanical engineering and controls engineering team to identify and verify, through simulation packages, the best, fit-for-purpose solution for the required process solution.
Carnac identified several cost reduction opportunities for an alumina refinery via the completion of a Maximum Technical Capability Assessment (debottlenecking study). Carnac further developed the opportunities at a concept level and selected which opportunity to take forward for a prefeasibility study.
Carnac undertook engineering design of screen oversize chutes from concept to detailed design stages.
Carnac identified several high-value opportunities for an alumina refinery that would help the client gain a competitive advantage in the alumina market. One opportunity identified involved recovering reagent from a spent liquor stream. The opportunity was developed by Carnac from a concept to feasibility study level.
Carnac’s expert team of Engineers and Designers are highly sought after in their respective fields. As such, Carnac have provided the services of its personnel to work directly with the client’s team at the required location for a number of projects and operations.
The client engaged Carnac Project Delivery Services Pty Ltd (Carnac) to provide detailed engineering design for several issues on site. Carnac provided the client with detailed engineering design to address these issues.
Carnac provided engineering services to investigate the use and capacity requirements of Biomass as a fuel source in a Multi-Fuel-Cogeneration (MFC) power station.
