Estimation
To aid in the production of a well-rounded options study, Carnac has an experienced estimating team that can provide order of magnitude cost reports for preliminary phases of the study that become more detailed (10% confidence) as the project moves towards commissioning. Our estimators have experience spanning a variety of industries in the mining and mineral processing sectors.
Carnac produced and assessed a number of concepts to mechanise and streamline the process of removing and replacing disc filters at an Alumina Refinery.
A war memorial site required the upgrade and replacement of a bore pump on site as well as other associated equipment.
The client engaged Carnac to undertake a preliminary engineering assessment of required upgrades to achieve an increase in refinery throughput, which included both production generating upgrades, such as those that would increase alumina precipitation yield and liquor flows, and production enabling upgrades.
Carnac reviewed and provided recommendations on the design of sea containers for the purpose of inspecting and refurbishing LPG storage cylinders.
As the life of mine has developed, some pits have progressed to below water table operations. Carnac was engaged by the client to undertake a study to assess the preliminary engineering study performed internally by the client and identify further work to progress design with regards to plans for dewatering.
Carnac identified the most appropriate "fit for purpose" solution for the relocation of the existing pipeline, an activity that is required for continued mining operations in the area.
The client was looking towards acquiring a storage shed and commissioned Carnac to perform structural, mechanical and environmental reviews on the feasibility of repurposing the shed for the client's product storage.
