Solution Provided | Concept Study for Increase in Alumina Refinery Production
Disciplines | Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Controls, Scheduling, Estimating
Over the course of 10 months, Carnac was engaged to perform engineering assessments and conceptual designs to remove barriers to the process and increase refinery production. This involved work on numerous facilities, systems and subsystems across the refinery, including materials handling, redside, whiteside and infrastructure. Carnac's team of alumina processing experts provided conclusions and recommendations from a process perspective that identified refinery-wide effects of implementing proposed works and from a mechanical perspective with regards to upgrades within the bounds of individual work packages.
In addition to completing the engineering, Carnac provided capital cost estimates, schedules, recommendations, risks and opportunities for each potential upgrade
